Total Station Sokkia IM 52 memiliki akurasi 2 detik yang dapat mengukur dengan baik dan juga akurat. Kemudian alat ini mampu mengukur jarak 500 meter tanpa menggunakan prisma (reflectorless) dan jarak pengukuran 4 km dengan bantuan prisma.

Tersedia memori yang mampu menyimpan hingga 50.000 point, daya baterai kuat hingga 14 jam pemakaian, serta sudah bersertifikasi IP66 yang tahan terhadap air dan juga debu. Oleh karena itu kualitas dari alat ini sudah tidak diragukan lagi.
